Last Wednesday (26.05.2021) our Dapde Research Associate Christian Drews discussed with Maryant Fernandez (BEUC), Cristiana Santos (Utrecht University) and Peter Eberl (European Commission) about the new ePrivacy Regulation and the currently ongoing trilogue negotiations. The focus was on the question to what extent the new ePrivacy Regulation can effectively limit dark patterns in the area of cookie consent and where there is a need to catch up. The event was moderated by Dapde project coordinator Quirin Weinzierl.
