Professor Michael Gertz leitet die Arbeitsgruppe Datenbanksysteme am Institut für Informatik der Universität Heidelberg. Forschungsschwerpunkte seiner stark interdisziplinär ausgerichteten Arbeitsgruppe sind Methoden und Anwendungen in den Bereichen Textanalyse, Data Mining, Machine Learning und Analyse komplexer Netzwerke.
